YOU NEED A WEBSITE. PERIOD.⠀ ⠀ If you are serious about growing your creative business - you need a website. Even if it's a basic one.⠀ ❔So, which platform should you choose - Wix or Wordpress?⠀ I use both platforms myself so let me share my two cents.⠀ ✨ Wix⠀ ✦Wix is great if you want a simple, no jhanjhat website. It is great for those who have zero technical knowledge and are looking for an economical option.⠀ ✦If you are just starting, you should use Wix as it offers all features needed for beginners. ⠀ ✦You can easily create an ecommerce store, sell physical as well as digital products, book appointments etc.⠀ ✦Designing a website on Wix is very easy with their drag & drop feature.⠀ ⠀ ✨Wordpress:⠀ ✦Wordpress is great for bigger stores which require a lot of customisation. ⠀ ✦Using Wordpress is also very easy once you have mastered the basics. ⠀ ✦If you are not a "techie" then you will need a freelancer handy to run updates, backups and take care of things as Wordpress is more prone to malware attacks & hacks ( I have faced this twice myself).⠀ ✦A Wordpress website is more expensive as you have to buy hosting + hire a designer unless and until you plan to design it yourself. A decent website can cost about ₹20k-1L + a monthly hosting fee.⠀ ⠀ 👉🏻I recommend that you start your online presence with a wix website once you figure out how you wish to grow your business & what features you require in a website you can upgrade to wordpress. ⠀ ⠀ If you have any questions about building a website for your brand, do feel free to ask and I'll be happy to help!⠀ ⠀ Love,⠀ Shreya⠀
